The Kateb Journal of Law is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics in order to ensure the integrity and credibility of the research we publish. We adhere to the ethical guidelines and principles set forth by international organizations such as the Committee on Publication Ethics.Authors' Responsibilities:Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere. Plagiarism in any form, including the unauthorized use of others' work or ideas, is strictly prohibited.Authorship: All individuals who have made significant contributions to the research should be listed as authors. The corresponding author should ensure that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript and have agreed to its submission for publication.Data Integrity: Authors should provide accurate and reliable data, and any potential conflicts of interest or competing interests should be disclosed.Citation and Attribution: Authors should appropriately cite and acknowledge the works of others that have influenced their research and provide accurate references.Editors' Responsibilities:Fair and Impartial Review: Editors evaluate submitted manuscripts based on their academic merit and relevance, without discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, or any other factor. They ensure a fair and impartial peer-review process.Confidentiality: Editors and reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of the submitted manuscripts and not disclose any information about the manuscript to anyone other than the individuals involved in the review process.Conflict of Interest: Editors should recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest, personal or professional, that may influence their unbiased judgment.Reviewers' Responsibilities:Expert Evaluation: Reviewers evaluate manuscripts objectively, providing constructive and unbiased feedback to improve the quality of the research. They should disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may affect their review.Timeliness: Reviewers should complete their reviews within the agreed-upon timeframe and inform the editors if additional time is required.Confidentiality: Reviewers should treat the manuscript and its content as confidential and not share or discuss it with others without permission from the journal.Publisher's Responsibilities:Editorial Independence: The publisher ensures the editorial independence of the journal, allowing editors and reviewers to make decisions based solely on the academic quality of the manuscripts.Access and Archiving: The publisher guarantees open access to published articles and ensures long-term archiving and availability of the journal's content. Any violations of ethical guidelines or suspected misconduct should be reported to the editor-in-chief, who will initiate appropriate investigations and take necessary actions to address the issue, following COPE guidelines.
